What a totally crazy year it has been. Many schools and colleges throughout the UK have had to adapt to the many changes which is hard work. We thank the schools for continuing to run during such a difficult time.Schools have now settled into new working practices; year group bubbles have been created and children are thankfully now back to school. We feel we are able to offer workshops in schools again and would love to work with pupils and teachers. Circus Skills can bring much needed creativity into the curriculum in a safe and supportive environment.Out of School trips are not allowed – so we believe an onsite workshop could be a good solution.Each school is individual, and we can fit in and implement a safe working policy. We have a robust COVID safe policy which we can provide upon request. The circus has provided a creative outlet through previous pandemics, wars and crisis over 2 centauries. We believe circus creativity is a boost for children and really improves learning prospects. Our activities can be delivered safely through maintaining social distanced. Each child can have their own equipment during our workshops, which will be for sole use by them. We will clean and sanitise thoroughly after each use.Circus skills including plate spinning, juggling balls, rings, scarves, devil sticks and diabolo are activities that children can learn without having to share any equipment. We also do a really fun demonstration of each skill from the front of the space/venues. All our circus instructors and circus performers are highly skilled and professional, and always ensure that the sessions they deliver are enjoyable, informative and stimulating. We strongly feel that circus themed creative activities will be fun and benefit children of all ages. Our circus performers have had to adapt to the Covid crisis, it’s been our quietest year to date but we still kept busy with online virtual festivals, online workshops and socially distanced stilt walkabout. We have also taken this time to get creative with our Circus Wellbeing project and making new costumes and characters for 2021. We are hoping things improve next year and we can get out and about more.
