Environmental Themed Circus Acts

Here at Circus Antics HQ, we are feeling positive and excited for 2025! We have been lucky to receive Culture West, Creative Freelancer funding from West of England Creative Authority (WECA). With this funding we are able to develop our range of environmental themed acts and are in the process of making two enchanting flower themed interactive walkabout characters that can be performed at local community events, schools, nature/ climate themed festivals. We are inspired to educate people about biodiversity, the importance of flowers, insects and wildlife.
We are passionate about raising awareness about protecting our planet, climate action and the need for biodiversity through creative interactive performances. Through our performances we aim to educate people about how to increase the wildlife in the spaces and places we live in. People of all ages can interact, relate to and communicate with our new walkabout act. The costumes will be made from recycled clothing and scrap materials where possible in order to be sustainable and minimise my impact on the environment. The new act will be ready for the Spring and Summer events season.
With 2021 WECA creative freelance funding we created a new circus, street theatre eco themed walkabout act called ‘The Hedgehogs’. The act was performed at 2 Bristol local eco themed events with approximately 300+ live audience and has since then gone on to feature at many other local and national wildlife awareness events.
We also have our beautiful butterfly stilt walkers which have been hugely popular at events the last 4 years. Do get in touch if you wish to book an environmental themed circus act.
This year so far has been a little quiet with booking & events, but behind the scenes exciting things are happening here at Circus Antics HQ. From making new costumes to planning for the year ahead.. We are also excited to soon be announcing some exciting events and festivals that we are working on in the summer.
