Circus Wellbeing Project - Newsflash:
Our Arts Council Funding application for the circus wellbeing research and development project we are developing is finally submitted! Wish us luck. Hopefully, we find out by Christmas and start creative process in January 2021. All our fingers and toes are crossed!
About the project:
I have started to develop a ‘Circus Wellbeing’ project to create a brand new solo family circus show, which uses circus, street theatre and storytelling to both entertain and educate audiences. The show will be supported by therapeutic circus and theatre workshops that promote positive mental-health and wellbeing and provides a creative platform for participants. I will be looking for 10 children to participate in the online pilot circus wellbeing workshops so if you have children you think would like to take part please let me know! The project will take place between January and March 2021 with a view to rolling the circus wellbeing project out to schools and outdoor events in summer 2021.
I am asking for support and donations from organisations, friends and family in order to support and deliver this circus wellbeing project. These are difficult times so please, if you can, make a donation to this valuable circus project through the go fund me link below, it doesn’t matter how small and I realise some of you might be struggling financially so don't worry if you can't atm, words of encouragement are just as good!.
